Accessibility Statement
Opus AV Ltd · Last updated: 22 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use opus-av.com, whatever device you use and however you browse: with a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, magnification or with motion turned down.
Our standard
We design and build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
Current status: this website partly meets WCAG 2.2 AA, pending a full accessibility audit. The known limitations are listed below.
Motion, flashing and the "Lights" switch
Our homepage uses moving stage lights and real event footage to show what we do. You stay in control of it:
- The "Lights" switch at the top of the homepage turns the animation off and on. With the lights off, the moving beams stop, the event footage pauses, and the beat-synced effects and the single white "flash" are switched off. Everything stays readable.
- If your device is set to reduce motion (for example "Reduce motion" on iPhone or Mac, or "Show animations" turned off on Windows), the homepage starts with the lights off.
- Flashing: when the lights are on, one section of the homepage shows a single white flash as the footage starts. Nothing on this site flashes more than three times in any second.
- Animation pauses automatically when it's off screen or when you switch to another tab.
- The event footage has no sound, so it doesn't need captions. It shows a dance floor during an event, and the same information is given in the text next to it.
Features designed to support access
- Keyboard: links, buttons and forms are designed for keyboard use, with visible focus outlines. A "Skip to content" link is provided on every page.
- Screen readers: pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels. Photos have text descriptions, and purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms: every field has a visible label, required fields are marked, and errors are explained in words, not just colour. The three-step brief form tells you which step you're on and moves focus to each new step.
- Kit list: when you add an item, a screen reader announces it and gives the new total.
- "Sketch to show" comparison: the slider that compares our design sketch with the finished stage is a standard slider you can move with the arrow keys. Each feature has its own button with a text description.
- Text and colour: our layouts and text are designed to support readable contrast, magnification and reflow on small screens. These need verification in the full audit.
- No time limits on reading or filling in forms.
Known limitations
- "Drag to aim the lights" on the homepage only works with a mouse or touch. It's a decorative effect, and you miss no information without it.
- The moving-light effect needs WebGL. On older browsers or devices you'll see a still photo instead, and all the content is still there.

How we test
This statement was prepared on 22 October 2026. A full accessibility audit has not yet been completed, so we do not claim full conformance. We will update this statement as testing identifies issues and fixes. We review it when we make significant changes to the site and at least once a year.
